Kimo Shim

Watching Kimo play percussion, it’s evident he sees music as a spiritual experience.  He doesn’t merely play music, he feels it. And his passion is contagious. Originally from the San Francisco Bay, Kimo nurtured his love of music as a break dancer and hip-hop DJ before adding percussive skills.  He plays all around the city with bands ranging from blue grass to hip hop, from latin to rock and roll. Kimo is a devoted dad and often you will find his son, Ke’Koa dancing to his beats on Sunday mornings.
